We Love You, Ricky!

Last night at 11:45 PM, our brother, son, and friend passed away. His pneumonia had been getting rapidly worse and his oxygen levels had dropped significantly. Doctors and nurses did all they could, but Ricky's time had come. He passed away quickly and peacefully with his father, his sister Stephanie, his nurse Monica, and Cort and myself by his side. Though we are all greatly saddened by the loss of our dear Ricky, we know this is also a joyous time as he returns to his Heavenly Father freed from the body that so tried him. We knew as soon as his spirit left that he ran straight for his mother's arms.

Ricky was the heartbeat of the Hendrickson family. He was the glue that often held us together. How grateful I am for all the things that he taught me by his words, example, and love. There is no doubt in my mind that he is one of Heavenly Father's choicest spirits and the light he brought daily to us all will be greatly missed. Thank you for all of your kind words, your thoughts and many prayers throughout this past year and a half. They have been a strength to us all.

Sharon loved the Make a Wish Foundation because of all they did for Ricky and the experiences they worked to provide for him and the joy they brought when his "wish" came true. So, as with Sharon, we ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to this special charity. You can visit their site and make a donation at http://www.wishoc.org/. If you do chose to donate we ask that donations be made to the Orange County Inland Empire Chapter. Information and details of Ricky's funeral will be forthcoming.

You're right, Ricky was the heart of the Hendricksons. Last we saw Ricky was at Sharon's memorial and he was happily making the rounds, greeting old friends, making sure he didn't leave anyone out. He was our hero, our inspiration. God Bless Ricky, God bless you all. We love you.

I am grateful for the time, love and knowledge we garnered from knowing Ricky, as did anyone, and blessed that he was sent the right hemisphere/century/family that he was- such that we had the privilege of seeing his light on earth. If living next to Sharon wasn't proof enough of God's love- having Rick in the same family was evidence beyond divine.

To All of the Clan: Thank you so much for entrusting Ricky's care the last few years to Legacy. With that trust we were able to really get to know Ricky. He was a precious young boy that turned into the most remarkable young man that was loved by all and will be missed terribly. Thank you and God be with all of you during another difficult time. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. Linda & Lizzie W.

Ricky had as many fans and cheerleaders here on earth as I know he has in Heaven. Two of his loudest cheerleaders are beyond the veil....his Mom and his Heavenly Father. As happy as they are to have him return "Home", equals how saddened I am that he has left his earthly home. I smile as I think of Ricky literally running to the arms of his Savior and to the arms of his mom. May God bless you all and give your hearts peace and the knowledge that Ricky is just where he is suppose to be....allways, Rhonda Caldwell

What was there not to love about Ricky? He was a joy to be around and made our nursing jobs "fun." Thanks to all the family for allowing me to be a part of his life for so many years. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Oh my speedy gonzalez! I will never forget the first day I met you. I was cleaning up after a ward party and you came zooming up behind me to help. After that night you stayed to help me for almost every party. Ricky your friendship and fiesty personality lit up my life in so many ways. You taught me so much and made me laugh so hard. The Jones fam are so grateful to have known you here on this earth and are so happy that you can be out of pain and reunited with your wonderful Mom. We love you Ricky and we love you Hendricksons! You all will continue to be in our prayers. Warren, Chantelle, Georgia and Baby boy to be
